We are super excited to announce the details for this year’s Mid Year Showcase on Sunday 28th June.

Our Mid Year Showcase is very different to our End of Year Concert. These performances are designed to be low key, relaxed and informal, allowing parents, grandparents and friends the opportunity to see what students have been learning throughout the first semester.

This year’s showcase will also have a hybrid style experience. There will be tables where families can sit, connect and enjoy snacks and drinks from the bar, as well as rows of chairs for those who prefer to simply sit back and enjoy the performances.

We really took on board your feedback from last year and one of the biggest highlights for families was the relaxed atmosphere being able to comfortably watch the show while also enjoying connection, conversation, food and drinks throughout the event.

Our Mid Year showcase is about so much more than just the performances. It is an opportunity for our entire Dance Centre community to come together, celebrate the incredible efforts and talents of our students and continue strengthening the special bonds within our dance family.

Our Mid Year showcase's truly are a highlight of the year — they are super FUN! We love seeing our community come together to support one another and celebrate all the students have achieved throughout the semester. It is such a special day, not only for the performers but also for everyone who attends.

We’ll also be returning to a more accessible and community focused approach for our Mid Year Showcase this year. Keeping things affordable and inclusive for our families is incredibly important to us and with rising venue costs, many formal venue options especially those with set meal packages became quite expensive. With that in mind, we’ve chosen to return to the Buckley Park Bowls Club this year to create a beautiful and memorable experience for students and families without the added financial pressure.

It’s going to be a really special, relaxed and joy-filled experience for everyone.

We hope this site provides a one stop platform where families can easily access all Mid Year Showcase information rather than needing to search through emails and inboxes. We understand how busy family life can be and hope this helps make the process easy, organised and stress-free.

Our Mid Year Showcases will be held at: Buckley Park Bowls Club, 111 Cooper Street Essendon

SHOW TIMES

Concert Show 1: 11:00am and 1:00pm

Concert Show 2: 3:30pm and 5:00pm

Please Note: Students perform in both shows and are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to their first performance. All students will remain under teacher supervision between shows and do not need to be collected during this time. Students must be collected promptly following the completion of their second show. Shows are estimated to run for 1.5 hours..

COSTUMES

There will be NO Costumes for the Mid Year Showcase.

All students are required to purchase and wear The Dance Centre 2026 Concert Tshirt to perform in . Please use the link below to place your order by 10th June.

Please Note: This Tshirt will also be worn for the End of Year Concert Finale.

The Concert T shirt is to be worn with Black Cotton dance shorts, Tan Dance Tights (purchase from the studio) and the correct dance shoes.

Make sure you don't leave any uniform purchases until the last minute as stock does sell out fast! Aim to have all your concert purchases by the 6th June.

Please also make sure shoes and uniforms are clean and looking presentable for their performance.

HAIR & MAKE UP

Any long hair is required to be pulled neatly off the students face in a high slick ponytail. There is no need for makeup for all Lil Groovers and Junior Performers. Light Concert Makeup can be worn for all Middle School, High School and Senior School Students.

Please check the Show lists by clicking the button at the bottom of this page to see what show/s your child will be performing in.

If you are unsure of your dancers class names or times, these can be viewed on the Class Manager Parent Portal or on your Enrolment Confirmation.

Before purchasing tickets, please carefully review the event information, show lists and seating details, as we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect purchases or consumer error.

NOTE: Running Orders of the show will be released soon. Students should become familiar with the running orders so they know which order they perform their routines in and understand which shoes they should be changing in to.

2. Have Updated your Child's Emergency Contact Details, Health / Medical Conditions, Allergies etc

3. Teachers will be posting class updates and videos of routines along with the music for your performer to practice in the lead up to Mid-Year on the BAND app. To access the Band App and The Dance Centre content, please use the QR codes located in The Dance Centre foyer and at the Front Desk.

TICKETING INFORMATION

$35 General Admission

All tickets are General Admission. The venue will include both round table seating and rows of chairs, allowing families the flexibility to enjoy the concert in a relaxed and comfortable way. All seating is unallocated and available on a first in, best dressed basis.

Before purchasing tickets, please carefully review the event information, concert show lists and seating details, as we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect purchases or consumer error.

Tickets are available until sold out. We encourage families to purchase promptly as tickets traditionally sell out very quickly.

No refunds, however you can transfer your ticket to another person.

Please note: There is a maximum limit of 10 tickets per transaction.
